MartinsCoaches in Limerick announced today that it has taken delivery of two new state-of-the-art coaches to add to it's current fleet of 25 coaches.

The latest delivery brings the total investment in new buses for 2008 to around €600,000. The new vehicles will be immediately rolled out in Martins current bus operations, which last year saw a significienht increase in passenger growth for the company.

Orders for the buses were placed with Scania Van Hool for a 49/53 seater and Mercedes Bologna for a 27 seater. Each bus is fitted with the latest environmentally friendly low emission engines. They are equipped with modern heating and air conditioning, reclining seats, a PA system, toilet, dvd options and of course the latest safety features.

Dick Martin, managing director of MArtin Coaches said: "This latest investment reflects our success in generating passenger growth in our coach hire operations and in winning new contracts. Martins Coaches is a family business. Dick and Eily created Martin's Coaches over 33 years ago, in 1973, and are still running it to date, although they are more involved in the local side of the company's activities. Today, sons Patrick and William are also involved. Patrick is a qualified mechanic and looks after servicing the coaches. William and his wife Noëlle look after the administration, office and customer relations.In 2006, the company moved into a custom build new premises in Annacotty Business park, Co. Limerick, with large 3 bay, fully equipped garage, bright offices and plenty of coach parking spaces.
